Portland in The House!

Tuesday. I feel bad but it was mostly JessHunt and Dustin unpacking all day, they wouldn't tell me what to do! lol afterwards though we went shopping for their new furniture and decor. They bought a new couch and tv which were both very sleek and stylish! We then watched Confessions of a Shopoholic

Wednesday. We picked up their couch and their tv and then got some good shopping time done in Portland. I got these really cute Juicy Sunglasses. and then we had some snacks and drinks at the Portland City Grill which is gorgeous! It looks out over the entire city and just has an amazing vibe to it. 

Thursday. Got up and ate at Pastini and found out that Michael Jackson had passed away, I didn't believe it at first! He was my first celeb idol! We then shopped a bit more I now bought some M.A.C. make up...I'm weak I know! I then made my first trip to the wonderful Container Store! and got my grandma and mom some little knick knacks I knew they thought would be cool. We then visit Dustin's brother and had dinner at a Mexican Restaurant that was also very good. then we visit Dustin's mom. Shopped for more stuff for their place then passed out! 

Friday. We then ate at Cheesecake Factory...ooh my love lol and then shopped at Washington Square a bit and then head to the airport. Right after landing we (me and Dustin) head to JFox's for a house party and more good times! 

Home Sweet ....Party Anyone?!

Friday. Claudia picked me up at 430am and drives me to LAX. I fly out to SLC. My Grandparents pick me up and we eat lunch at Crown Burger (thanks grams!) I then visit my mother at work and visited her coworkers and Darrick. I went home and napped shortly after. I picked my parents up from work and met up with my grandparents at Pagoda for dinner. I then hit up the grocery store with my mom and Justin picked me up for the party at JFox's that we planned as a going away party for JessHunt and Dustin. Darrick showed up and so did Thea, Jordan, and their new baby Tavon that I was finally able to meet! 

Saturday. Woke up and made Keylime Pie for my dad for father's day since its his favorite kind. I then watched He's Just Not That Into You with both of my parents and then Brandon picked me up at 3pm to check into the hotel room. First we grabbed stuff at Harmons then head up. We relaxed a bit then got ready for dinner at Spaghetti Factory for JessHunt and Dustin's going away dinner. Justin, Monique, Julie, JessHunt, Dustin, Sarong, Savonn, B, Kristi, JessY, Chris, Brandon, Linds, Jer, JessHunt's friend, her aunt and two cousins all showed up! After dinner we head to "The Hotel" the bar for Brandon's 32nd Birthday and Graig, hig gf, and Bran's friends from work all met up with us there. We left early at about midnight and headed over to the hotel room party and we partied our asses off until 5am. Bran had some more friends show up, Junior, Marissa, Wes, and Kelli came also! Such good times! 

Sunday. HAPPY FATHER'S DAY! Woke up at a decent hour and left the hotel room (after cleaning up a bit of course!) Hit up iHop with Bran, JFox and Kristi of course then headed home to nap. Around dinner time my parents and I headed out to my grandparents for father's day bbq. My uncles Randy and Eddie were there and my Aunt's Laura and Lynne along with my cousins Alex, Andy and Austin. Andy showed us his wonderful photos from his trip to Japan. We then left and I had to pack to leave to Portland, I fell asleep watching Stop-Loss

Monday. dustin picks me up at 2am and we leave to Portland at 3am.  After the back and forth driving of both me and JessHunt we arrived at 4pm in Portland. We settled into their new place and moved everything from the Uhaul up to the apt. We then ate Chinese at Jin Wah hit up Walmart and Home Depot for last minute homey needs. (Thanks to JessHunt and Dustin for dinner!)

Back to the Grind with a Cherry On Top!!

Monday. Tried to do Maya monday but Claudia, Valeria, and I ended up going to see the hangover, courtesy Valeria...thanks girl! 

Tuesday. I ended up buying a wrist brace and ergonomic pads for when I type on my computer and use the mouse at home because the lovely curse of carpal tunnel has begun to dwell upon me. Then I just ended up doing Maya homework

Wednesday. had sound design class 830 to 11:15, I actually ended up getting 2nd place in a contest we had in class, its a cd that I won lol. I worked on sound homework until about 3pm and then worked on maya until 430 went home took a nap then worked on homework some more

Thursday. I ended up feeling really ill for some reason so I missed my AE class. Midway through the day I ended up feeling better so I got my ass out of bed and decided to be productive. I cleaned the kitchen and worked on my AE homework. I head into Maya and we ended up having Pizza and snacks in class lol but just worked on Maya homework for 6 hours and then I missed editing due to feeling ill again so I went home cleaned the bathroom had dinner then slept

Friday. worked on homework and rendered all day for about 6 hours. I ate chipotle with claudia and then picked jess and kristi who flew into town to visit :) YAY! I took them to my favorite coffee shop, Aroma and did some minor sightseeing then hit up Yogurtland.

Saturday. Ate at BJ's, and then shopped for 7 hours at Americana and Glendale Galleria. I didn't think it was possible to shop that much but just ask my cousins...apparently it is possible! haha it was good times, but I will admit did get kind of boring. When the mall finally closed and we hadn't even made it all the way through the entire thing we went back to my apt and head over to ESPN zone for dinner. This convention at the LA convention center was going on called Erotica LA (porn convention) and well these guys came out of it and basically decided to join us for dinner and drinks at ESPN ...our bill was $100 but they offered to pay. Free food, can't go wrong!  :) 

Sunday. Had the famous chicken dinner at Knott's berry farm it was delicious! and then we hit up Knott's Berry Farm, I think we went on every big coaster at the park...it was blast :) Then we went to TGI Fridays for dinner when coming into town (LA) apparently the Laker's had won the Championships for 2009 which I guess translates to people of California destroying the entire town because a form of vandalism is apparently a creative expression of celebration right? Wow people don't think lol. So the two streets I live off of were closed and we couldn't get to my apartment until we could get a police escort. But the policeman was very nice. The shoe store down the street from my apartment had every single pair of shoes wiped out of their collection! 

Monday. had the maya presentation and I actually ended up getting an A in 3d class and awarded for the most improved from quarter 1 to quarter 2 and hit up Jonny Rockets with Claudia because she had been having such a horrible day sadly! I took my cousins to Milk off beverly then took them sightseeing. we hit up city walk and then I had to stop at Ralph's then the roommies wanted to go to Dolce because they were closing so food was 50% off so we hit that up around 10pm. We saw the Owner of the Dolce group (no not Ashton, his partner if you've seen Millionaire Matchmaker) My cousins and I then began to look around town for a bar and we failed miserably at it and gave up and went to bed.

Tuesday. Dropped my cousins off at Hollywood drive then drove Truong to the airport, picked my cousins up and went to Lil' Tokyo to grab manju they could take home to their families and then drove them to the airport. I then hit up the lab at school to work on the sound final.

Wednesday. had class from 830 to 1115 then worked on editing homework and after effects homework until 3am

Thursday. had after effects class til 1115 then worked on editing homework til 3pm editing class til 6pm and i'm exhausted! so I relaxed and pampered myself a bit at home then found out a got 100% on my sound final!! 

Bay Style

Friday. Woke up hella early and drove 6 hours with Claudia up to San Francisco. We arrived, checked in, and walked the whole town! We walked EVERYWHERE. I soon discovered that the entire downtown San Fran is like an outdoor mall. Seemed so much cleaner and nicer then downtown LA. Chinatown was pretty sketch though! We had walked for miles so by the time we arrived back to the room (which we had managed to get two free nights stay with!) we were exhausted and called it a night!

Saturday. Was the Academy of Art University's Spring Show. We hung out there asked some questions and then left to meet up with Eunice. My ol' friend from when I went to Mexico for the church mission, that was actually more humanitarian then religious. I couldn't believe that brat but she paid for the meal! And the place was pretty pricey that we had decided to dine at. They kind of had a dine-o-round like they do in SLC going on so we had a three course meal. Claudia and I then did a nice scenic drive. We found some signs and followed them for miles, we found them shortly after I drove her to check out Lombard Street (the crookedest street) it then took us to Golden Gate the presidio and various other key destinations in San Fran before we lost track of the signs and headed back to the room. We decided to eat at Lori's diner which is a cool 50's style place then we got ready and hit up The Cellar which was a different kind of bar experience. :) 

Sunday. We drove back to LA, but stopped at my favorite Chinese Restaurant in Monterey, Full Moon. I couldn't believe it, but the little ol' lady that works there remembered me from two years ago! She's so cute! She asked if I was dating the same guy from two years ago and I told her no, she told me good and that I could do better and that I'm too young to worry about that anyway. She was precious and definitely boost my ego! When I arrived back in LA i just unpacked and did laundry.

Normality

Tuesday. I slept in and watched V for Vendetta. It was a very good movie. I then went grocery shopping and finished some last minute financial stuff for my second year with FIDM. I began to feel quite homesick not having the ones I love and miss around me. 

Wednesday. I headed out earlier to pay the water bill. Then headed to Blick's and got a free shirt from there, but went to get some watercolor paper to experiment on for a class project (scanning in to get different textures to work with in After Effects). I then ran a few various errands like buying ink for my printer. I was still a little homesick today. I then talked to Jess and kristi about them coming out to LA to visit me for a bit and then worked on homework until 2am and watched What I Like About You.

Thursday.I had class at 8:30 until 6. Afterwards I was exhausted so I just made dinner and then went to sleep.

Friday. I had lunch with Connie, whom I haven't seen since I was a lot younger and attending children's service at church still back in SLC. We caught up at 11 and chatted until 230 in Lil' Tokyo. I then went home and continued watching my most recent obsession What I Like About You, but just watched some episodes online. I then had dinner with the roommates and some of Truong's friends at Cheesecake Factory and we got free cheesecake because his friends work there.

Saturday. Watched Terminator Salvation at 215pm I liked it. I then shopped around for a bit for graduation and birthday cards for friends at the Americana mall. I went home and watched That 70's show and What I like about you

Sunday. didn't do anything exciting. Went to see the movie Up.

Monday. again, no excitement. I just stayed in all day and worked on homework.

Tuesday. I worked on homework and then got new tires from Costco. It took 3 hours so I grabbed some lunch and shopped around the little shopping center. I bought a new apple keyboard. After my car's adjustment I headed to target for some cards. then I came up with an awesome idea. This idea consisted of attending the University of Utah Online classes while also attending FIDM full time in the fall. It works because I only have 3 full semesters left to graduate with a degree in Sociology which I hadn't realized until I randomly decided to put together a "DARS" report. 

Wednesday. I had class then ate lunch with claudia and went home and napped. I woke up and then did homework until 430am

Thursday. I attended classes went home, packed, and slept. I then began to realize that my wrist hurt... 

Living Like a Rockstar

Las Vegas for Memorial Weekend

Friday. The early arrivers all hit up the buffet down in the casino. First off i would like to thank Crystal and Brandon for all of their work at getting us the hookups! Thank you so much for everything! We ended up having 3 rooms at South Point Casino completely free! Then we just shopped around for a little bit before heading back to the room to get ready to hit up Rain at the Palms. We got VIP treatment, and rode in style to the bar in a hummer limo (also free). We got front of the line access into the club! (It was just me, crystal, nicole, brandon, and jeff) I don't remember much of this night, all that I can recall is entering the club, getting a few drinks, and dancing on the dance floor...after that I don't remember, the last thing I remember was "who is the president of the United States?" my reply..."Barack."

Saturday. Woke up in one of the rooms in my very own bed. Laying in the opposite bed across from me was Brandon O. I had a horrible hangover. A pounding headache and just wanted to fall back asleep. Apparently, as i'm told, I got completely plastered. So plastered in fact that they were worried that I had alcohol poisoning and would need to get my stomach pumped. Hence, the security asking me a series of questions. Flash backs from my black out the night before came and went. My new nickname, embarrassingly enough, had become "Wheels" I had been wheel chaired out of the bar. I hadn't felt decent until dinner time at 6:30pm. It sure was good though to have a hangover buddy (brandon o) at my side. For dinner I enjoyed a filet mignon at the Silverado Steakhouse. Entirely free! Then for the night we partied at LAX a newer bar in Vegas. Brandon still felt quite sick and had refused to eat anything earlier so he hadn't joined us that night sadly. LAX was INSANE! So much fun. Now our group was Brandon L, Crystal, Nicole, Me, Dustin, Justin, Jessica F, Jessica H, and Dustin. Darrick, Lucy and Wayne met up with us there. All of us received front of the line entry, the females got in for free and the guys received a decent discount. Again we traveled by limo. We were picked up by the limo and went to two strip clubs. We arrived at the hotel and gladly did the walk of shame arriving at 6am.

Sunday.We all got up and ready and some of us went to the buffet for lunch. Crystal and Brandon headed out to LA. We then went to Fashion Show mall to shop some and then bought show tickets for Ka a cirque du soliel show. Met up with Julie to say hello and then the remaining of us ate Korean BBQ which was delicious and then we headed to MGM to go see KA. We bought these tickets at a large discounted price. After the show we headed back to the hotel room and  got ready to go to the Revolution at the Mirage which thanks to Jessica and her networking we got into for free and we met up with Jeanna. We arrived home at 5am.

Monday. We woke up around 10am and packed then checked out. We shopped around at Ceasar's Palace and got some from Fat Tuesday. We ate at Planet Hollywood as our last meal. I then gambled $5 thanks to Justin and we left to our homes around 4pm. Traffic was bad headed to LA due to it being Memorial Day we arrived home at 10pm. I was finally able to call my mother and catch her up to speed with everything that had happened that weekend
